Save A Sight
Project (SaSP)

The Save a Sight Project (SaSP) is Anidaso Eye Centre’s second sustainable blindness prevention program, dedicated to protecting the vision of school-going children in rural communities. While our community screenings reach many adults, children are often missed because these activities typically occur during school hours. To bridge this gap and prevent children from going blind or becoming visually impaired, Anidaso Eye Centre has partnered with district education offices to take screenings directly into schools.
Through this initiative, students receive comprehensive eye examinations, and those in need are provided with vision aids and essential medications to support their learning and overall well-being. By safeguarding their sight, we help ensure that children can perform at their best academically and socially. Children diagnosed with eye disorders are referred to the nearest Anidaso Eye Centre for further management and specialized care.
To strengthen sustainability and expand reach, Anidaso Eye Centre has also developed Hunu—an innovative mobile application whose name means “to see”. HUNU empowers teachers to identify students with potential vision problems and quickly refer them to the nearest eye clinic for prompt attention.
The Save a Sight Project reflects our commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind because of poor vision, and that every child, regardless of where they live, has the opportunity to see clearly and learn confidently.
