Dr. Aihoon Fiifi Samuel is a highly accomplished Optometrist with over five years of clinical experience, dedicated to advancing eye health and improving access to quality vision care. He currently serves as the Clinical Director of Anidaso Eye Centre, where he oversees clinical operations, patient care, and strategic development of the practice.
Dr. Aihoon earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. During his time at KNUST, he was elected Vice President of the Optometry Student Association in 2018, leading several impactful health screenings both on campus and within surrounding communities. His leadership and commitment to community health have remained central throughout his professional journey.
A strong advocate for research and innovation, Dr. Aihoon has co-authored three peer-reviewed publications in collaboration with Xidian University, China, contributing to the growing body of knowledge in optometry and vision science. His academic and professional pursuits reflect a keen interest in Orthoptics and Biomedical Engineering, particularly in ophthalmic imaging, where he is committed to exploring innovative solutions that address Africa’s eye health challenges.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Aihoon has broadened his expertise through professional development and leadership training. He successfully completed the Rotary Positive Peace Academy in November 2024 and currently serves as a Peace Ambassador with the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) Peace Program, reinforcing his commitment to peace building, leadership, and service. In recognition of his dedication to service and international collaboration, he is also the President-Elect of the Rotaract E-Club of Ghana.
His career trajectory has also been marked by recognition at the national level, having served as a Presidential Nominee. These experiences highlight his capacity to bridge clinical excellence with leadership, research, and public service.
